Two more ways to register for the COVID-19 vaccine

The government has opened up two more ways to register for the COVID-19 vaccine.
The National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme’s coordinating minister says in addition to MySejahtera, you can also register via the website vaksincovid.gov.my
You can also sign up by calling its hotline at 1-800-888-828.
Khairy Jamaluddin hopes that the new registration methods will encourage more people to get themselves vaccinated against the coronavirus.
So far, over two million people have registered via MySejahtera.

New COVID-19 variant spreading in Nigeria emerges in Malaysia
Malaysia has detected its first cases of a new COVID-19 variant spreading in Nigeria.
The Health Ministry says the patients are two foreign nationals who arrived from abroad.
The new variant is believed to be more contagious, and could lower your immune response.

The country’s new COVID-19 cases over 2,000 today
Malaysia reported 2,154 new COVID-19 cases today.
Selangor continues to record the highest number of infections with 794 cases, while there were 463 new cases in Johor, and 250 in Sarawak.
Meanwhile, six more patients have succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,159.
