Malaysian embassy in North Korea ordered to close

The Malaysian embassy in Pyongyang, North Korea will be closed due to the republic's decision to sever diplomatic ties with Malaysia,
Wisma Putra says all embassy staff and their dependents have been asked to leave within 48 hours starting today.
This follows the High Court's ruling earlier this month, to extradite a North Korean man to the US to face money laundering charges.

Emergency Ordinance not enforced to restrict freedom of expression
The government is not enforcing the Emergency Ordinance to restrict freedom of expression.
The MCMC explained that among others, it is aimed to prevent those from becoming victims of fraud due to fake news related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and emergency proclamation.
Under the ordinance, those caught spreading such allegations can be fined up to RM100,000, face a maximum three-year jail sentence, or both.

Primary schools in Miri remain close for another week
The reopening of primary schools in Miri, Sarawak will be delayed for another week, as a precaution against COVID-19.
State authorities say it's because the area is still deemed a red zone, due to a rise in infections.
