Only 3.5% vaccine recipients reported side effects

Out of over 700 thousand COVID-19 vaccine recipients, only 3.5% of them reported side effects after receiving the shot.

The Health Ministry says most of them were mild cases while the rest needed treatment by specialists.

Among the mild effects were pain at the injection site, fever, vomiting, and headache.

MEF: Low starting salaries only temporary

Fresh graduates earning low starting salaries is due to difficult market conditions, as many businesses have been hit hard by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the Malaysian Employers Federation says this is only temporary and that the situation will likely improve with the roll out of the National Immunisation Program.

It was responding to a recent report by the Statistics Department that found that in 2020, fresh graduates recorded a decrease in monthly income, compared to the previous year.

North Koreans still in Malaysia under MM2H program

All North Korean nationals who are still in Malaysia are participants of the "Malaysia My Second Home" program.

The IGP says police will leave it up to the relevant agencies to decide on whether these individuals should return to their home country, following North Korea's decision to end diplomatic ties with Malaysia.

This comes after reports claimed that hundreds of North Korean workers were not recalled, including secret agents involved in smuggling activities.
