Phase 2 of COVID-19 vaccines kicks off today
Apr 19, 2021
Nearly 10 thousand people are scheduled to receive the COVID-19 vaccine today, on the first day of the National Immunisation Programme's 2nd phase.
They involve the elderly, the disabled and those with chronic conditions.
Meanwhile, Selangor will only start second-phase vaccinations next week.
The programme's coordinating minister says the state has yet to complete its first phase vaccinations.
On another note, Khairy Jamaluddin says a decision on whether to go ahead with the AstraZeneca vaccine will be made on Thursday.
This, after European authorities reported that a small number of recipients developed adverse side effects like blood clots.
