Health Ministry to consider breath test to detect Covid-19

The Health Ministry is considering the use of the breath test, which has been identified as the latest tool to detect Covid-19 in the country.

It says the Medical Device Authority will run a clinical test on the efficacy of the tool before giving approval for use here.

The entire state of Sarawak will be placed under MCO from tomorrow until June 11th.

State authorities say this is due to the recent rise in Covid-19 cases there, with Sarawak reporting 772 infections yesterday.

This, as 7,857 cases were reported nationwide yesterday along with 59 fatalities.

The Prime Minister says the government will ensure that incidents such as the collision between the LRT trains does not happen in the future.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin assured that a thorough investigation had been carried out to find out the cause of the accident that left 213 passengers injured on Monday.

The Transport Minister says repair and clean-up works at the scene of the LRT collision have concluded.
