New COVID-19 cases dip below 5k mark

Malaysia’s number of new COVID-19 cases dipped below the 5 thousand mark.
4,949 infections were reported today, with 1,523 cases detected in Selangor alone.
The Health Ministry also recorded 60 fatalities, raising the death toll to 3,968.

Phase 4 of National Immunisation Program activated
Phase 4 of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program has been activated to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
Its coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin says the fourth phase will involve those in the industrial sectors that are operating during the Movement Control Order.
Khairy says it's to contain the rise in clusters involving workplaces.

COVID-19 vaccine recipients can donate blood
Everyone has been urged to donate blood, as there has been a drop in blood collections nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The National Blood Center told us that COVID-19 vaccine recipients are allowed to donate their blood, one week after getting the jab.
It says this is possible so long as the blood donor does not experience any side effects from the vaccine.
This, in conjunction with World Blood Donation Day today.
