22% adult population now fully vaccinated against COVID-19

The National COVID-19 Immunisation Program has now administered close to 16 and a half million vaccine doses nationwide.

Some 22% of the adult population are now fully immunised, which involves over 5 million recipients.

More than 460,000 people were given the jab yesterday.

Delta variant fast becoming dominant strain in Msia

The Health Ministry says the Delta variant is swiftly becoming the dominant variant in the country, following the current spike in COVID-19 infections.

It says since earlier this month, almost 120 cases were detected linked to new variants, namely the Delta, Beta, and Alpha variants.

Most of them were found in Sarawak, followed by Selangor, and Pahang

Finance Minister denies ordering food via helicopter

Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has denied claims alleging he sent a helicopter to Perak, for a takeaway order.

The Finance Minister says the recent viral photos of him eating a local rice dish were from last year.

Yesterday, a helicopter landed in Ipoh to pick up 36 orders of nasi ganja.
