Govt considers including self-test kits as controlled goods

COVID-19 self-test kits could be categorized as controlled goods, to ensure users can purchase the kits at affordable prices.
The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says it is considering the matter, to lessen the burden of users, particularly low-income earners.
It says the test kits currently cost around RM40 ringgit each.

Teenager fined RM5k for removing home quarantine wrist tag
A teenager in Perak has been slapped with a RM5,000 compound, for flouting COVID-19 SOPs.
Police say the 17-year-old removed her wrist tag while still undergoing quarantine at home.
A video of the incident went viral on social media.

Malaysia logs over 17k new COVID-19 cases
Malaysia reported a spike in new COVID-19 infections, with 17,105 cases today.
According to the Health Ministry, almost half of the total was detected in the Klang Valley.
Meanwhile, Perlis and Labuan both had single digit cases.
