MOE to consider parents, educators’ input in phase 3 school reopening plan

The views of parents, teachers and school officials will be considered before a full school reopening plan for states under Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan is finalised.
The Education Minister says their input and advice will be carefully looked into before a decision is made on the matter.
Currently, Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan and Perlis are in Phase 3 of the NRP, while Labuan is in Phase 4.
Meanwhile, the Health Minister says the SOPs to be used for the face-to-face school session which is to resume from October 3 will be finalised tomorrow.
Cinemas and theatre performances are among activities in the creative arts sector that can reopen from tomorrow.
However, only patrons that are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to benefit from this.
Strict conditions such as social distancing measures, limits on crowd capacity, and vaccination rates apply.
Driving schools will be allowed to resume operations from tomorrow.
The Transport Minister says the exam to obtain a driving licence is allowed to be conducted starting next Friday, but employees and candidates must be fully vaccinated.
