Klang Valley to stop walk-in vaccinations next week

Sep 08, 2021

klang valley to stop walk-in vaccinations next week

Starting next Wednesday, residents in the Klang Valley will no longer be able to walk into COVID-19 vaccination centers to receive the injection.

The Science, Technology, and Innovation Ministry says it's because most residents have already been vaccinated, leading to low attendance at centers.

Those who have yet to take the jab can instead visit selected health clinics from September 16th.

So far, almost 98% of the Klang Valley's adult population has already completed both doses.

Drop in daily vaccination rate a good thing

There is no need to be concerned over the drop in Malaysia's daily COVID-19 vaccination rate.

The Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister says it's actually a good thing, as it means more people have already been vaccinated.

The rate is expected to continue dropping in the coming weeks, after some 320 thousand people were given the jab yesterday.
