COVID: Langkawi bound travellers can reschedule flight

Travellers bound for Langkawi who test positive for COVID-19 before departing are allowed to reschedule their accommodation bookings and flight tickets.
The Tourism, Arts, and Culture Ministry says it’s to ensure tourists won’t suffer any losses.
Yesterday 4 more people were found infected after undergoing testing.

Kedah MB: Mandatory COVID screenings to Langkawi wise move
Kedah has hailed the decision to make COVID screenings mandatory for those travelling to Langkawi.
The state’s Menteri Besar says the move is necessary to ensure the bubble program goes ahead smoothly and safely.
He also advised travellers to test themselves earlier, to avoid crowding at entry points into the island.

Nearly 40 million COVID vaccine doses now given out nationwide
Almost 40 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have now been administered nationwide.
More than 18 million people have already completed both doses, which accounts for about 77% of the adult population.
Nearly 240,000 people were given the jab yesterday.
