Schools to receive COVID-19 self-test kits

All schools nationwide are set to be given supplies of COVID-19 self-test kits, as a precaution against the coronavirus.
The Education Ministry says students in full boarding schools must undergo testing three times, while those in daily boarding schools only need to be tested once.
It adds that testing will only be conducted on students in daily schools when needed.

Special taskforce set up to mobilise frontliners in high COVID case areas
A special taskforce has been set up to mobilise healthcare workers to areas that report a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says it's to prevent workers from experiencing exhaustion due to the outbreak.
He says so far, over 480 staff have been sent to Penang, Kedah, and Sabah.

New COVID-19 cases drop below 15k mark
New COVID-19 cases in Malaysia dropped slightly to 14,990 today, with Selangor having the most infections.
The Health Ministry says Johor had the second most cases, ahead of Sarawak, and Kelantan.
Labuan was the only area with single digit cases.
