Prices of Covid-19 self-test kits will be reduced further in the coming days.
This is to make it more affordable for parents to have their kids tested, before schools reopen in certain states early next month.
In addition to pharmacies and clinics, the kits will also soon be sold at places like hypermarkets and mini markets to make them more accessible.
The current retail price for a Covid self-test kit is 19.90 per piece.
The Senior Defense Minister says the Armed Forces will be helping the Health Ministry carry out the National Immunization Program in remote areas.
This is to help ensure that the target of having 90 percent of Malaysian adults vaccinated can be achieved as quickly as possible, so that inter-state travel can resume.
Meanwhile, over 83 percent of Malaysian adults have now been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
This, after more than a quarter of a million additional doses were administered nationwide yesterday.

The Health Ministry is once again reminding parents to check their kids’ vaccination appointments, before heading to PPV’s.
This is to prevent overcrowding at vaccination centers, with the immunization program for adolescents currently in full swing.
The Ministry is also not ruling out the possibility that the crowds are due to some parents being confused about the walk-in vaccination option for certain students.
Currently, non-school goers, those who are home-schooled and those studying at private or public universities are the only ones allowed to walk-in for their shots.
