Klang Valley to move to Phase 3 from Oct 1
Sep 30, 2021
The Klang Valley will transition to Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan tomorrow.
The government has also announced that Melaka will enter Phase 3, while Kedah will enter Phase 2 on Friday.
This means that there will no longer be any states under Phase 1.
Meanwhile, states under Phase 2, 3 and 4 of the NRP will now also be allowed to hold sporting events with live audiences.
However, all individuals must be fully vaccinated and wear face masks throughout the duration of the events.
Also, the skills training sector and industrial training centres including vocational colleges will be allowed to open in all phases in compliance with SOPs.
This is in line with the opening of higher learning institutes from October 15 onwards.
The Covid-19 recoveries continued to outnumber new cases for the 13th consecutive day.
More than 17 thousand Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospital yesterday.
This as health officials confirmed 12,434 daily cases.
The Malaysian Armed Forces say the issue over the alleged data leak involving personal info of the public does not involve any security breach on its part.
The Companies Commission of Malaysia also denied allegations that there was a data leak involving local business entities.
This is after a local portal reported that about 1.4 million local company profiles stolen from the SSM database were offered for sale online on a hackers forum.
