Sinovac recipients will get Pfizer booster shot
Oct 22, 2021
Starting today, booster doses will be given to recipients of the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine.
Khairy Jamaluddin says this involves recipients aged 60 and above, who have completed vaccination at least 3 months ago.
They will be given the Pfizer jab.
The Health Minister says the booster doses will be administered voluntarily and for free.
Recipients will be notified through the MySejahtera app, and those without the app will receive an SMS.

Malaysia reported a slight rise in Covid-19 cases yesterday, with 6,210 infections.
The Health Ministry also logged over 7,500 recoveries.
The country has been consistently reporting more Covid-19 recoveries than infections for more than a month.
Health officials are still fixing the MySejahtera’s security issue.
This is after it made headlines recently when spam emails and unsolicited one-time passwords were sent out from the app.
The incident was caused by abuse application programme interfaces and not due to a database leak.
