School attendance without rotation to be based on studies

The decision to allow more students to attend school without being a rotational basis will be based on studies and analysis.

The Education Ministry says it must consider the current situation.

For now, only certain students will no longer need to attend classes on a rotational basis starting on Monday.

The ruling will apply to institutes with COVID-19 vaccination rates that have reached 90%.

TNB issues safety guidelines for monsoon season

Several electrical safety guidelines have been issued due to the monsoon season starting this month until early next year.

TNB has advised the public to avoid using any electrical appliances and to turn off their main switches in the event of floods.

It also wants parents to watch their children closely, to ensure they avoid going near fallen electric poles and cables during a flood.
