Huge Demand for VTL-Land Tickets

There has been a huge spike in demand for bus tickets, since the government said that the Land Vaccinated Travel Lane will open on the 29.
According to FMT, the website of a Malaysian bus operator crashed as hopeful travellers rushed to book their tickets.
Meanwhile the Malay Mail says one Singaporean company's tickets for the next next 30 days were sold out in just 20 minutes.

School Stands By Decision to Isolate Unvaccinated Teacher
A school in Perak is standing by its decision to isolate a teacher who is unvaccinated against COVID-19.
According to the Star, the school's board of governors is satisfied that the principal complied with all procedures.
Earlier reports said the teacher was placed in isolation in a storeroom, and the case went viral on social media.

21% Drop in Crime Last Year
Crimes in Malaysia fell by over 21% last year.
The Department of Statistics adds that violent crimes fell by 19.5%, while crimes against property saw a 21% decline.
It attributed the drop to movement restrictions during the MCO, and strict enforcement activites.
However, it also pointed out that the number of cybercrimes nearly doubled last year.
