Sarawak goes to polls today!

Today is polling day for the 12th Sarawak state election!
Over 1,800 polling stations will be open for voting until 5.30 pm.
Voters have been reminded to follow all the Covid-19 SOPs including wearing a face mask, getting your temperature scanned, and maintaining physical distancing.
This, as 1.2 million people are expected to cast their ballots today.
The Election Commission says those who show signs of infection will be allowed to vote at designated facilities.
Sarawak has 82 seats in its state assembly, by far the biggest in Malaysia.
Several areas in Selangor, Pahang, Melaka, Kelantan and Terengganu have been affected by floods, following continuous heavy rain yesterday.
A total of over 1,300 flood evacuees are currently displaced in those states, with Kelantan being the worst-hit state.
Malaysia reported another rise in Covid-19 infections yesterday, at 4,362.
It’s up by 100 cases compared to the previous day’s figure.
