More people evacuated to relief centers as floods continue

More than 12,000 victims are currently seeking shelter at flood evacuation centers.
Johor is now the worst affected, with over 3,500 victims.
Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Terengganu, Sabah and Selangor are the other affected states.
Meanwhile, 3 routes involving 5 districts in Negeri Sembilan have been closed to all traffic while 4 more are only passable to heavy vehicles following landslides and floods.
Among the roads are Jalan Segamat-Gemas, Londah-Gemas, Jelai-Bahau and Jeram Toi.
Residents of coastal areas, particularly in the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, are advised to be cautious!
Weather officials warned that a high tide phenomenon is expected to occur until Wednesday, and this may cause flash floods, overflow of sea water and coastal flooding.
Among the areas at risk are Kuala Muda in Kedah; Bagan Datuk in Perak; Klang, Kuala Langat, Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor in Selangor; and Batu Pahat and Pontian in Johor.
