Malaysia expected to face third wave of high tide
Jan 04, 2022
Malaysia is forecasted to face the third phase of the high tide phenomenon!
This is expected to last for several days until February 3rd.
The Irrigation and Drainage Department says the seawater level will be at its highest level, which could cause flooding during major high tides.
This, as more than 14 thousand people are now housed at flood relief centres.
Johor remains the worst-hit state, with over 5,000 evacuees.
The other evacuees are in Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Sabah and Selangor.
We reported 2,690 Covid-19 infections yesterday, down by around 190 cases compared to the previous day.
Only 1.9% of them reported moderate to severe symptoms.

Police issued 215 summonses to roadside traders for setting up stalls in dangerous locations last month.
They say this had become a trend during the Covid-19 pandemic, noting that they are especially common around traffic light junctions.
Police warned that they could cause accidents if not controlled properly.
