Flouting SOPs is not a crime

There is no need to remove Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein from chairing the COVID-19 Quartet Ministerial Meeting after he flouted SOPs.
PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says violating SOPs is not a criminal offence.
He adds that authorities have already ordered Datuk Seri Hishammuddin to be issued a compound for the violation.
The Prime Minister was responding to calls for Datuk Seri Hishamuddin’s resignation, after he was seen at a political event without maintaining physical distancing measures.

Wisma Putra liaising with relevant agencies to help stranded Msians in Manila
The Malaysian Embassy in Manila is assisting the Malaysians who are currently stranded at the Manila International Airport.
Wisma Putra says it is liaising with the relevant agencies to deal with the issue accordingly.

Over 21,000 new COVID-19 infections today
Daily COVID-19 infections rose slightly after the Health Ministry reported 21,315 cases today.
It rose by some 240 infections compared to yesterday’s figure.
Of the new cases, less than half a percent are in categories 3,4,and 5.
Meanwhile, the bulk of today’s total involve those with mild symptoms.
