Msian convoy arrives safely at Ukraine-Poland border

A convoy of nine Malaysian diplomats and their two dependents have managed to safely flee Ukraine.
Wisma Putra says the group, which also included one Singaporean national, crossed the border into Poland early this morning.
A dozen other Malaysians had also made it out of Ukraine in the past week, after Russia launched a full-scale invasion of its neighbour.
Meanwhile, the bi-partisan Parliamentary Select Committee for International Affairs has issued a statement condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
It says the issue will also be brought up at the next Parliament session, to discuss Malaysia’s diplomatic relationship with Russia and Ukraine in light of the latest developments.
The flooding in the east coast is showing no sign of easing.
The number of evacuees in Terengganu has now risen to over 4,400…while more than 3,900 victims are seeking shelter at flood relief centers in Kelantan as of late this morning.

More than 805 thousand kids have now received their Covid-19 vaccine under the PICKids program.
This accounts for over 22 percent of the country’s population in the 5 to 11 age group.
Meanwhile, the number of new Covid-19 cases nationwide dropped yesterday, to 27, 299.
It was more than three thousand infections less than the previous day.
The number of new fatalities also dropped yesterday to 43.
