New record of daily COVID cases

Daily COVID-19 infections reached a new record after Malaysia reported 33,209 infections yesterday.
It rose by over 700 infections from the previous day.
Meanwhile, 78 more patients succumbed to the coronavirus, 22 of which were classified as brought-in-dead cases.
Sabah recorded the most fatalities at 15, followed by Kedah with 12, and Johor 11.
There were also more than 26,000 recoveries.

NRC calls for more action to address vaccine hesitancy
Authorities have been urged to do more to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among school children and parents.
The National Recovery Council says it's because some parents still refuse to allow their kids to get vaccinated.
Its chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yaasin says not only does this increase the risk of infection among unvaccinated students, but also students and teachers who are already immunised.

PICKids: Online booking system to be available nationwide
Starting Monday, parents nationwide will be able to book an appointment via MySejahtera to get their children vaccinated against COVID-19.
Authorities say parents will be allowed to choose their preferred date and time at their chosen vaccination centre.
The appointment booking system was initially only available to parents in the Klang Valley.
