May 19, 2022
There is no need to close nurseries, kindergartens, and daycare centres in Selangor, despite a rise in hand, foot, and mouth disease cases.
It’s Menteri Besar says it’s because HFMD cases in the state are still under control.
He adds that any decision to close such premises will be on the advice of the state health department.

COVID-19 Ministerial Quartet holds last meeting
The COVID-19 Ministerial Quartet held its last meeting yesterday, after first convening back in September.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein says it decided there is no need for the quartet for now, as the country has entered the transition phase to COVID endemicity.
He says 181 SOPs have now been reduced to only one SOP with nine guidelines.
He adds that all sectors have reopened, festivals have returned, face masks are no longer required outdoors, while MySejahtera check-ins are no longer mandatory.
The Minister says it has not been an easy journey but believes the country has come out stronger.
