UUM assures full co-operation into student death probe

Universiti Utara Malaysia has assured there will be no cover-up in the death of a student, who was found dead in her hostel room in Kedah recently.
UUM adds that it will give its full cooperation amid ongoing investigations.
It also urged people not to speculate on the incident.
This, as police have yet to determine the cause of death, as they are still waiting for the forensic report.

Health Ministry: So far no reports of monkeypox infection in Malaysia

The Health Ministry has so far not received any reports of a monkeypox infection here in Malaysia.
It was responding to a viral post, alleging a child was infected by the disease.
It also urged Malaysians not to share unverified news.
However, it advised those involved to bring the child to the nearest health facility immediately, if the post is true.

DBKL to study ways to reduce traffic congestion
DBKL is set to conduct a detailed study on ways to reduce traffic congestion in the capital.
The Federal Territories Ministry says authorities will focus on certain aspects namely, traffic light coordination and parking management systems.
This is after a report said traffic congestion in the capital is now worse than before the pandemic, following the reopening of schools and workers returning to the office.
