The Education Minister says the government has no plans to review History as a mandatory pass subject in the SPM examination.

Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin says the ministry will instead focus on why students are failing the subject, and find ways to effectively deal with the matter.

It’s to ensure students can master the subject.

This, as close to 12% of 2021 SPM exam candidates were not eligible for a certificate because they failed either the Bahasa Malaysia or History exam.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is hopeful that more young people will venture into the aerospace industry.

This, after Malaysia successfully launched its newest satellite, MEASAT-3d, into orbit from the European Spaceport in French Guiana earlier this morning.

Meanwhile, the Communications and Multimedia Minister says the newly launched satellite is important in Malaysia’s efforts to achieve the 100% Internet coverage target before 2025.
