Jun 30, 2022
The government has assured it will work to keep the inflation rate in Malaysia low and manageable, to ensure the wellbeing of the people.
It says its newly set up task force will not only focus on the price of chicken, eggs, and cooking oil, but all prices of goods and services that could contribute to the increase in the inflation rate.
Meanwhile, the government says fake news alleging the supply of one-kilogram subsidised cooking oil will be stopped from tomorrow has caused people to panic buy, resulting in a shortage of cooking oil in the market.
However, it assures that authorities will take the necessary action to ensure adequate supply.
