Grand Send Off For 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong

The 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong has left Istana Negara and has headed back to Pahang, after a sending-off ceremony to mark the end of his Majesty’s five-year reign.
This, after hundreds of well-wishers lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the King and Queen as they made their way out of the palace towards the Parliament building.
Al-Sultan Abdullah will be replaced by the Sultan of Johor, who has been elected as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong for five years starting tomorrow.

Perak police say they’ve already identified the traffic cop who allegedly offered to settle a speeding summons on the spot for a foreign couple.
The state police chief says the couple in question have also been cooperating with the authorities, adding that more information will be announced in due course.
