No Change To Start Of School Session

The upcoming school term will begin as scheduled next week, despite the ongoing hot weather.
The Education Ministry says parents and teachers are advised to help prepare students to face the higher temperatures, especially once Muslims enter the fasting month.
This, as Met Malaysia said six areas in Kedah are currently under a level-one heat alert…with temperatures of between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.

The government has reaffirmed its commitment to restarting the search for MH370.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke says he’s ready to invite the marine robotics firm Ocean Infinity to discuss mounting a new search on a no-find-no-fee basis.
Loke, however, did not give a timeframe for the new operation, saying this will depend on Ocean Infinity’s response.

School bus fares are expected to rise by around 10 percent, depending on the route and type of vehicle.
The Federation of Malaysian School Bus Operators Association told The Star, this is due to higher maintenance costs and wages…and also because there are now fewer drivers.
