Malaysians Prefer Male Leaders

malaysians prefer male leaders

Four out of every 10 Malaysians prefer male leaders or bosses, which is higher than the global average.

According to an IPSOS survey in conjunction with International Women’s Day today…44% of Malaysians prefer male politicians…compared to just nine percent who prefer female political leaders.

When it comes to business leaders, 48% of Malaysians have no gender preference… 38% said they’d prefer a male boss…while 14 percent preferred females.

The MACC says more than a million ringgit worth of rewards have been paid out between 2012 and last year…to civil servants who provided tip-offs about corruption.

More than 500 government employees from 31 agencies have also been given special recognition, for coming forward to report the giving or receiving of bribes.

CUEPACS is hoping that the government will provide special financial assistance for civil servants and retirees, in conjunction with the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration.

It says it would welcome any additional aid…on top of the Early Incentive Payment of two thousand ringgit which was recently paid out.

The Islamic Development Department or JAKIM says its prepared to look into suggestions, for convenience stores to use vending machines to sell alcoholic beverages, so that Muslim staff don’t have to touch these items.

The Fire and Rescue Department says there’s been an alarming number of open burning incidents in Selangor…with over 280 cases reported in the first two months of the year.

Prasarana says the price of Rapid KL’s one-day MyCity pass will be increased by one ringgit starting today.

And elsewhere…the US is set to announce the construction of a temporary port in Gaza…to get more humanitarian aid into the Palestinian territory by sea.
