KKM: 40,000 schoolkids smoke or vape

The Health Ministry will carry on with efforts to clamp down on smoking and vaping among school children.
Its deputy minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni says a screening programme at primary and secondary schools nationwide identified nearly 40,000 smokers.
They've been put under intervention programmes.
KKM also says it has helped helped train 140 counselling teachers to help students kick the habit.

The Road Transport Department has not found any elements of identity theft or abuse within the myJPJ system.
It said this, following the recent case of a digital driving license showing the face of a different person.
According to the JPJ it was instead due to a glitch that happened during maintenance work.

According to MetMalaysia, 11 areas in Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Pahang and Sarawak were under a level-1 heat alert today, with daily temperatures of between 35-37 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile the DOE's website says Kimanis, Sabah is registering unhealthy air quality readings, believed to be due to several bush fires and open burning in the area.
