Toll-Free Travel For Aidilfitri!

The government has announced toll-free travel on April 8th and 9th in conjunction with Hari Raya.
The Works Ministry says this will apply to private vehicles along all highways, except at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar and Tanjung Kupang toll plazas in Johor.
It says with the toll exemption, the number of vehicles across the highway networks is expected to increase to over 2.4 million per day.

The government is stepping up efforts to boost PADU registration numbers, ahead of the March 31st deadline.
The Statistics Department says an additional 300 physical counters have been set up nationwide, in anticipation of a last-minute rush in sign-ups.
So far, just under 8.8 million Malaysians have registered for the PADU database.

The National Disaster Management Agency says raw water storage at four dams in Johor, Penang and Kedah have reached critical levels due to the hot weather.
This, as Perlis was placed under a level-two heatwave alert…while 34 other localities in Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, and Kelantan are under the less-severe level one advisory.

More than 770 million ringgit was lost to commercial crimes in the first three months of the year.
