IGP: Enough With The Socks Already

Stop playing up the sale of socks that bear the word Allah.
IGP Tan Sri Razarudin Husain says the issue has already been resolved, now that it has been taken to court.
He also issued a stern reminder for people NOT to take the law into their own hands.
This, following a Molotov cocktail attack targeting a convenience store in Perak.

According to MetMalaysia, more than 30 areas nationwide were under a Level-1 heat alert today, with temperatures of between 30-35 degrees Celsius.
This, as the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry says 16 districts nationwide had no rain at all for more than 15 days.
This includes a record dry spell for Lahad Datu and Papar, Sabah, which had no rain for nearly a month.

Cuepacs has backed the PM's statement that there is no need to declare an additional Aidilfitri public holiday for Friday, April 12.
The union told FMT that civil servants already have a lot of holidays, and those who need extra time off for the festive period should use their annual leave.

In related news, the Works Ministry says there are no plans to extend the Aidilfitri toll-free period, which is in place for the 8th and 9th of April.
It also advised travelers to plan their journeys accordingly, as it expects over 2 million vehicles to be on major highways during the festive period.

And Bukit Aman police say 1,810 road accidents happened nationwide yesterday with 11 deaths.
This means that over 26 thousand crashes have been reported since PDRM started publishing daily statistics two weeks ago.
During the same time over 200 people lost their lives.
