Monorail Services Back To Normal

The KL Monorail has resumed normal services, following yesterday's disruption. 

Authorities suspended services yesterday yesterday, after branches from a fallen tree landed on the track along Jalan Sultan Ismail.  

Services resumed following clean-up work and inspections to check on any possible structural damage.

Meanwhile an elderly Swedish woman injured by the uprooted tree is still receiving treatment at HKL.  

Cops say she is in stable condition.  

The woman was inside one of the 17 vehicles that was damaged in the incident, which also left one person dead.

MCMC is ready to act against social media users who post personal attacks targeting public figures including footballers.  

This, following recent incidents targeting national footballers, including the recent acid attack on Faisal Halim. 

Meanwhile, a crime expert told Harian Metro that authorities need to impose tighter controls on the sale of dangerous chemicals like certain acids. 

Also, Johor police say a separate attack, that damaged a car belonging to fellow footballer Safiq Rahim was an isolated incident, and urged people to stop speculating on it.
