PM: No RON95 Subidy Rationaliation... Yet!

The subsidy rationalisation for RON95 petrol is NOT happening anytime soon.
PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says currently there are no policy papers on its implementation.
He told the Dewan Rakyat that for now, the government wants to study the impact of previous rationalisations for electricity, chicken and diesel
Anwar adds that the most important thing is to ensure that any subsidies do not benefit foreigners and the rich.

A typhoid outbreak has been declared at a school in Kota Baru, Kelantan.
According to the state health department, this is after 5 students were confirmed to have the disease.
17 other students are suspected cases.
Typhoid is a potentially life-threatening bacterial infection that is usually spread through contaminated food or drinks.
Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue and a loss of appetite.

NADMA has approved a RM14 million allocation to Sabah, for those affected by the ongoing floods there.
This includes compassionate aid of RM1000 for each displaced housewhole, and RM10,000 to the families of anyone who dies during the floods.
Currently, around 480 people are being housed at flood relief centres in Penampang, Putatan and Tuaran.

Bukit Aman's Classified Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation into the sharing of photos purportedly showing the body of murdered autistic child Zayn Rayyan.
The Selangor police chief says the case is being probed under the Official Secrets Act.

Separately, Selangor police have confirmed the arrest of two suspects linked to several house burglaries, including the home of Selangor FC's Ahmad Khuzaimie Piee.
Earlier reports said the footballer's motorcycle, passport and valuables were stolen during the break-in.
