95k Calls Made To Scam Response Center

The National Scam Response Centre has received over 95 thousand calls from victims since its establishment in 2022.
The Prime Minister says just this year alone, the reports totaled losses of over 203 million ringgit as of May.
Meanwhile, over ten thousand investigation papers were opened for fraud, while the MCMC has also blocked more than 200 phone numbers used by scammers.

The National Union of the Teaching Profession is warning schools against hiding bullying cases among students.
Its President, Aminuddin Awang admits that there are some school heads who sweep such cases under the carpet, but says this needs to stop if the bullying problem is to be properly addressed.
This, after the Education Ministry recently revealed that it is improving bullying-related guidelines to help eliminate the problem.

The MACC has detained two more individuals in connection with a Klang Valley highway construction project worth more than one billion ringgit.
To date, the commission has remanded 14 individuals related to the corruption case.

Police have confirmed receiving a report about an abuse case involving a dog that was seen in a viral video being hit by its owner on the balcony of an apartment in Cheras.
Cops say the case has been handed to the Veterinary Department for further action, while the dog has been surrendered to independent animal rescuers.

The Communications Ministry says 5G coverage in populated areas of the country has now reached over 81 percent, with some seven thousand sites established nationwide so far.
