Three Arrested Over Johor Girl's Disappearance

Police have arrested three individuals to assist investigations into the recent disappearance of a six-year-old girl in Johor.

Cops add that the case has also been reclassified as a kidnapping or abduction…but did not provide further details.

The girl was last seen during a Japanese festival in Iskandar Puteri over the weekend.

So far a number of well-wishers have offered cash rewards for any information that leads to the six-year-old’s safe return, with some 70 thousand ringgit raised so far.

The Health Ministry says its concerned by the findings of a recent study, showing that one in three Malaysian teenagers is overweight or obese.

Its worried that this could lead to further health problems later in life…causing a burden to the country’s healthcare sector.

The Ministry also blamed the rise in obesity to the higher consumption of processed food, adding that most of these cases occur in major cities and urban areas.

Preparations are being made to bring in English language teachers from Singapore.

The Education Ministry says its currently updating its guidelines and mechanisms ahead of the move – which is aimed at improving our student’s English proficiency and strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Ministry adds that it does not foresee any major challenges, since it already has experience bringing in educators from the US for teaching programs in the past.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry says it has already taken action, regarding a foreign car refuelling with RON95 at a KL petrol station…as seen in a viral video.

It says the petrol station in question is now being investigated…and could be fined up a million ringgit for selling the subsidized fuel to a foreign-registered car.

Facebook parent company Meta has issued an apology, for an incorrect automatic translation on the social media platform, regarding the recent installation of the Yang DiPertuan Agong.

The company also assured that the mistake has already been corrected.
