The Communications Minister is reminding Malaysians to fly the Jalur Gemilang correctly and in its best condition.
Fahmi Fadzil said this after revealing that action was taken against an association in Perak for displaying the national flag upside down recently.
He also warned that it is an offence to display the flag in such a manner.

The country's live birth rate has dropped by over 10% in the second quarter of this year.
The Department of Statistics says male babies outnumbered female ones, with the overall gender ratio sitting at 106 males for every 100 females.

Police add that 44 investigations have been opened so far, while 10 locals have already been arrested in several states.

They say the perpetrators lured their victims by promising payments of over six thousand ringgit per month.

The KL City Hall has opened a new Cat Park to address stray cat issues and to promote animal welfare in the city.
DBKL says the park will offer essential care, including shelter and medical attention, to manage the stray cat population.
