A man has been charged in court for the murder of teacher Istiqomah Ahmad Rozi late last year.  

If convicted, he will face either the death penalty, or a maximum of 40 years imprisonment and at least 12 strokes of the cane.  

The teacher was reported missing in Johor on December 26th and her dismembered remains were found in Alor Gajah, Melaka several days later.

The suspect in a stabbing incident at a surau in Kelana Jaya, Selangor has pleaded NOT guilty to 2 counts of attempted murder.  

He’s accused of stabbing and injuring two women at the Surau two weeks ago.

The Defence Ministry says it has NOT appointed any NGOs to collect public donations for the benefit of injured Palestinians who were flown into Malaysia for medical treatment.  

The ministry and the Armed Forces have their own channels for people to make any contributions.  

40 injured Palestinians were flown in from Gaza last week.

12 people have been arrested in Johor in a joint operation between Malaysian and Singaporean police, over a money laundering racket. 

The syndicate reportedly brought foreigners to Singapore to open bank accounts which would then be used to launder proceeds from scams.

A popular nasi kandar chain has agreed to pay Astro RM200,000 in compensation, for the unauthorized use of Astro’s pay-TV broadcasts.   

Astro says it’s part of ongoing efforts to combat digital piracy and ensure that businesses and individuals respect the terms of their subscription agreements.
