Mpox Test Approved

The Medical Device Authority has approved the first Mpox test kit for Malaysia.
However, it is currently only limited for use by professionals, and not for the general public.
The MDA also warned that selling or purchasing the kit in pharmacies, retail stores, or e-commerce platforms is illegal.

The Subang Jaya City Council will map out areas that are at risk of sinkholes.
The council says this will be done proactively, because some developments under its purview are located near former mining ponds.

Meanwhile, police are reminding the public not to go near the site of the sinkhole in Jalan Masjid India.
They explained that several areas are blocked off as a precaution and urged everyone to listen to enforcement personnel to ensure safety.

The IGP says there is no need at the moment to set up a special task force to handle missing persons cases.
It's because not all such cases are legitimate, as they sometimes involve kids who willingly run away from home.

Separately, the IGP also urged parents to explore digital methods to keep track of their kids and ensure their safety.
This includes using tracking apps on mobile phones, which can also help authorities find those who go missing.
