Act 852 To Take Effect On Oct 1

The Smoking Products Control Act for Public Health will take effect on October 1st.
The Health Ministry says the act will cover regulations on the registration, sale, packaging, labelling, and prohibition of smoking in public places.
It adds that the act will also cover electronic cigarettes.
This, as part of the government's efforts to address the increase in e-cig usage among young people.

University students who’ve been affected by the recent floods...can apply to postpone their return to their respective institutions.
The Higher Education Ministry says those impacted must inform their uni’s as soon as possible, so that assistance can be given.
It adds that all public institutions have also been directed to regularly engage with the students...to identify how they can help.
