It’s all systems go ahead of the tabling of Budget 2025 today.

The PM says preparations have all been completed…saying Malaysians can expect a budget that will further drive economic growth and ensure justice for the people.

In a related development, the Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry is hoping the Budget will include targeted initiatives to empower Indian women entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, the Consumers’ Association of Penang wants the government to reinstate the sales tax on cigarettes under today’s budget…to help reduce the number of smokers in the country.

Breast cancer cases are on the rise, with one out of 23 women in now at risk.

A Health Ministry expert says based on data, the ratio of cases among Indian women was the highest at one in 17 of them at risk of the disease compared to one in 19 Chinese women and one in 26 Malay women.

He adds that nearly half of patients only seek treatment when their cancer has already reached stages three and four, which is when the rate of survival is lower.
