Harris Concedes, Congratulates Trump

Kamala Harris has spoken for the first time since losing the US presidential election to Donald Trump.
The Democratic candidate urged her supporters to accept the result and vowed to be gracious in defeat.
“We must accept the result of this election. Earlier today I spoke with president-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory. I also told him that we will help him and his team with their transition. And that we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power”
This comes after Trump surpassed the 270 electoral college votes required to win the race to the White House.
Based on the latest tallies Trump has 294 votes compared to 223 for Harris.

Meanwhile, our Prime Minister has congratulated Trump for winning the election.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he’s looking forward to renewed opportunities with America, which remains Malaysia’s largest source of foreign investment.

Eligible Malaysians may need to scan their MyKads at petrol pumps, to enjoy the targeted RON95 subsidies.
The Economy Minister says these scanners will then access an individual’s eligibility information, which will be stored on a cloud database.
It says this is one of the measures being considered to effectively roll out the targeted subsidies.

The government is working on adopting new technology to help flood victims.
The Deputy Prime Minister says this includes developing an app, that can give real-time information about available spaces at flood evacuation centers.
This is so that evacuees can determine which relief center to head to…before they leave their homes.
