KPM: Don't Cover Up School Bullying

The Education Ministry has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards bullying.
It also reminded school administrators that it will not tolerate any attempts to cover up bullying incidents involving their students.
Those found doing so will face tough action.
The ministry issued the warning after receiving reports of some schools trying to sweep bullying cases under the carpet.

Meanwhile, the Defence Ministry has outlined several measues that yhave been taken to deter bullying cases at UPNM's military training academy.
This includes giving cadets a safe space to report any bullying cases, while regular physical inspections will be conducted at random to check for signs of bullying-related injuries.
This, in response to two recent high-profile cases at the academy, including a trainee who was burned with a hot iron.

A container trailer driver has been remanded for four days to help police investigations into yesterday's fatal accident in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
Meanwhile the JPJ has launched its own probe into the company that operates the trailer, to determine if there were any violations of safety regulations.
A 21-year-old woman was killed when the container fell from the trailer and crushed several vehicles.

The Health Ministry says regulations, such as the recently enforced Control of Smoking Products Law, are needed to help curb the use of e-cigarettes and vaping, especially among youths.
It says without these regulations, the cost to treat e-cigarette and vaping-related lung injuries, or evali, could exceed RM360 per year by 2030.

The National Council for Islamic Affairs has officially declared the teachings of GISB's as deviant, while highlighting the company's business practices that had elements of slavery.
As such, the council says Muslims should stay away from such teachings and urged GISB followers to repent.
