Accident Hotspots To Be Closely Monitored

The government is stepping up efforts to reduce traffic congestion on several major highways ahead of the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations.
As such, the Fire and Rescue Department has identified 12 accident-prone hotspots along the PLUS and East Coast Expressways.
Personnel will be stationed at these key locations from March 29th to April 3rd to enhance response efficiency.
The department adds that its primary goal is to reach an accident site within 30 minutes.

The Education Ministry will pursue legal action only as a last resort if parents fail to comply with the upcoming Secondary School Compulsory Education Policy.
This, as part of efforts to tackle absenteeism among students, with the ministry adding that some parents still lack awareness about the importance of education.
The policy is expected to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat session starting June and will focus on advocacy and awareness.

The government has approved the final terms for a renewed search for the wreckage of flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean.
The Transport Ministry says the search will be conducted by marine robotics company Ocean Infinity on a "no find, no fee" arrangement.
This means the company will only receive its 70 million dollars fee if the wreckage is found.

The government will enforce strict security measures on the 15 Palestinian freedom fighters who will soon be brought to Malaysia, including monitoring their movement and activities.
The 15 will be resettled here, following their release from Israeli prisons as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal.
