Nancy Wants Harsher Penalty For Man Who Filmed Stepdaughter
Mar 21, 2025

The Attorney General's Chambers has been urged to lodge an appeal and seek a tougher penalty for a man who was caught taking indecent photos and videos of his teenaged stepdaughter.
The Women, Family and Community Development Minister says it's because the RM6,000 fine is too lenient.
Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri pointed out that under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act, the maximum punishment for child pornography is a jail term of up to 5 years, plus a RM10,000 fine.
The minister believes a harsher penalty is warranted, because the man should have been protecting his family instead of exploiting them.
