Preliminary Findings Of Putra Heights Fire Out Today

The preliminary findings of the investigation into the Putra Heights pipeline fire, are expected to be revealed today.

According to the Selangor Menteri Besar, the announcement will be made by the state police chief, who is leading the investigation.

He adds that the cops are looking into possible negligence or criminal elements…while the Public Works Department is in charge of the technical investigation at the site of the blast and fire.

Meanwhile, the families affected in the Putra Heights fire will start receiving their financial assistance in stages from Monday.

Priority will be given to residents whose homes were completely destroyed, followed by those who suffered less severe damage.

In other news, the JPJ says more than 460 express bus drivers nationwide were issued compound notices during the Hari Raya balik kampung period.

It says the two most common offences were using a mobile phone while driving, and operating without a second driver.

Kedah is considering a ban on aggressive dog breeds as pets.
