Putra Heights: Focus Is Shifting To Clean-Up Work

The Selangor govt says moving forward, its focus will be towards clean-up work in residential areas affected by the Putra Heights gas pipeline explosion.
This includes a mega operation this weekend involving 1,400 people, comprising state govt personnel and volunteers.
Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shaari says says authorities are finalising the list of residents who will receive rental aid, and the first payment is expected to be made within the next two weeks.
Also, Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad says it will rebuild 81 homes that were completely destroyed by the gas pipeline explosion, and the cost will be born by the government.
And AirSelangor says affected residents will be exempted from paying their March water bill.

According to the Social Welfare Dept's portal, over 700 people have been evacuated following the flash flooding that occurred in several areas in Selangor this morning.
They are housed in temporary shelters in Klang and Shah Alam.
Meanwhile, police say one person has died, believed to have been electrocuted during the Shah Alam flood.
