New Highways Could Have Dedicated Bike Lanes

All new highways could soon be built with dedicated motorcycle lanes.

The Works Ministry says this is part of long-term efforts to enhance the safety and well-being of motorcyclists.

It admits that while the cost of building such infrastructure will be higher, it is necessary to address the high rate of motorcycle-related accidents in the country.

All telcos have been directed to submit monthly reports about their efforts to address internet blackspots in each state.

The Communications Ministry says its also instructed these companies to find long-term solutions to the problem, to ensure wide and uninterrupted internet coverage for all Malaysians.

Malaysia and South Korea have agreed to set up a committee, to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, including having more transfer programs for students and lecturers.

And, Singapore’s parliament has been dissolved, paving the way for a general election on May 3^rd.

This will be the first contest under new Prime Minister Lawrence Wong…who was sworn-in in May last year.
