king confident of enhanced msia-china cooperation

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia believes that Malaysia and China will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation, despite various geopolitical gaps around the world.  

His Majesty also expressed hope that the two countries will focus on deeper economic integration and industrial collaboration, while upholding the principle of mutual respect.  

His Majesty said this in conjunction with the official visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping. 

Meanwhile, President Xi says Beijing is encouraging Malaysia to step up its exports of high-quality agricultural products to China.  

He also urged more Chinese companies to invest in Malaysia.

Penang has decided to rename a key road in Batu Kawan in honour of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.  

Meanwhile the state flag will be flown at half mast tomorrow, in honor of the former Prime Minister, who passed away on Monday.  

Also, the MARA chairman has proposed to rename the MRSM in Kepala Batas in honour Tun Abdullah.  

He served as the Kepala Batas member of parliament from 1978 until 2008.

Cops are still hunting down two people over the recent theft of ERL cables.  

The Selangor police chief says the duo are believed to be the masterminds.  

Meanwhile cops say they have yet to charge three other suspects who were detained recently, as the investigation is still ongoing. 

The cable thefts had disrupted ERL's KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services for several hours.

Police have extended the remand period of the Johor private school student who's accused of selling explicit deepfake images of fellow students and alumni.  

It's to facilitate further investigations into the teenager.  

Cops have also remanded a 19-year-old in connection with the case.
